Stage 1 of the 2-day tour past the Lünersee lake with overnight stay at the Lindauer Hütte hut
Tour description
From the starting point, at the Lünerseebahn valley station, either take the Lünerseebahn in approx. 5 minutes or walk for approx. 1 ½ hours via the Bösen Tritt up to the Lünersee. From the Lünerseebahn mountain station along the Lünersee circular trail to Alpe Lünersee. At the Lünersee Alpe, the path first branches off briefly to the right and then left towards Verajoch. Continuing along the foot of the Kirchlispitzen peaks, you reach the first ridge, the Verajoch. From here, there is a short descent to the Schweizer Tor (swiss gate), a striking rock window and border crossing into Switzerland (Prättigau). At the Schweizer Tor, the hiking trail now leads uphill again towards the Öfapass before reaching the day's destination, the Lindauer Hütte, after another descent. Overnight stay at the Lindauer Hütte.

Sturdy shoes, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, a snack, a full water bottle and hiking poles are recommended. Additional equipment for an overnight stay in a refuge. Cell phone for emergencies.
