3-day tour with overnight stays at the Heinrich-Hueter and Lindauer Hütte
Tour description
The hike starts after the ascent with the Lünerseebahn cable car directly at the mountain station of the Lünerseebahn cable car. From the Douglass Hütte, you hike to the left on the Lünersee circular trail over the mighty Lünersee dam wall. Follow this path until you reach the turn-off to the Lünerkrinne. From here, the trail continues along the Lüner Weg and the Gipsköpfleweg directly to the Heinrich-Hueter Hütte.
On the second day, head down to the Alpengasthof Rellstal and from there on to the Zaluanda Alpe. Via the Hätaberger Joch and the Latschätz Alpe to the Lindauer Hütte, where the second overnight stop is planned.
The next day, climb over the Öfapass to the Schweizertor, a striking window and border crossing into Prättigau/CH. From here we continue over the Verajoch towards Lünersee. From the Lünersee Alpe then along the lakeside path to the mountain station of the Lünerseebahn. From here, either descend via the Bösen Tritt to the valley station or take the Lünerseebahn to the valley.
Duration: approx. 11 hours in total
Day 1: approx. 1:45 hours to Heinrich-Hueter-Hütte
Day 2: approx. 5 hours to Lindauer Hütte
Day 3: approx. 4:30 hours to Lünerseebahn mountain station
Note: The times given are approximate. Depending on fitness, weather conditions or other circumstances, the walking time may be shorter or longer.
You can divide the ascent per day and hours according to the weather and your needs.
