Stage 1 of the 4-day hut tour with ascent of the Schesaplana, the highest peak in the Rätikon
Tour description
On the first day, take the bus (line 580) from Brand Innertal or walk via Schattenlagant to the valley station of the Lünerseebahn cable car. From here, either walk over the Bösen Tritt or take the cable car to the Douglass Hütte. Turn left along the shore to Alpe Lünersee. Here the path branches off in the direction of Lindauer Hütte. Follow the hiking trail over the Verajoch, on to the Schweizertor, up to the Öfapass and then down to the Lindauer Hütte.
Duration: approx. 4.5 hours (on foot from Brand Innertal with Lünerseebahn 6-7 hours / without Lünerseebahn 7-8 hours)

Equipment
Sturdy footwear, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, a snack, a full water bottle and hiking poles are recommended. Additional equipment for an overnight stay in a refuge and, if necessary, grödel for crossing the glacier field. Cell phone for emergencies.
